I've got some pretty heinous condensation happening in both headlights. The outsides of the lenses are dry in these pics. My guess it that the PO ruined the seals when he put !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in. These are the xenon lights, I really can't afford $1200 to just replace them. How do I fix 'em?

Other than opening them up to dry them and seal them better or drilling a hole to let them drain, I'm lost on that.

There should be a vent hole in the back for moisture to escape. Those lenses need to be polished up too. Look at the top where the clear front joins the back - I often see cracking there, sometimes you can just put clear silicone caulking there to seal up the joint, other times you have to completely disassemble and hope for the best. I haven't done a bimmer though.

$1200 for new lenses, seriously? That doesn't sound right. Can you try some junkyards for good used ones?

pull them out, and apart, wipe dry. then redo the seals yourself.

Pffft... all this good advice. What you really need to do is get rid of the car and replace it with a Mercedes E300:

That way you can have lights that are fogged up, yet dry!

Bake the headlights in an oven for a while until the glue that holds the lens to the backing loosens up. Take the lens off and clean everything. Remove all the old adhesive you can. Then once dry and cleaned off use some 3M weatherstrip adhesive and glue it back together. This should solve your problem.

If you can go without the car for a day or two. Remove the headlights and bulbs, then place the headlights in a box with either rice or silica beads (not inside the headlights).

I have heard of people using a vacuum cleaner and a small enough flexible tube (with a small piece over of microfibre cloth taped over the end) through one of the bulb sockets and with the vacuum running, move the flexible tube around to lift the moisture from the inside of the lenses.
